I have been staring down this picture for a few days, now... and it has stared riiiiight back.
For those of you who may not know, this is a take-off of a famous painting by Howard Pyle, entitled The Mermaid. It's really a lovely and especially intimate piece, so I thought it might be fun to do my own cartoony equivalent... with, well, who else other than an actual merman, right!
